Nayana Sandur is a botanical artist based in Limerick, Ireland. Born and raised in India, she graduated as a computer engineer and worked in the software industry before moving to Limerick in 2008. Her long-standing interest in art, especially watercolours, gradually evolved into a deep passion for botanical art.
Her first solo exhibition in 2012 at the University of Limerick — themed on flowers — marked the beginning of her artistic journey, strengthening her connection with botanical subjects and illustration. Since then, she has been a regular participant in national and local art exhibitions and various botanical art projects. Her botanical illustrations have also been featured in publications by the Irish Society of Botanical Artists (ISBA).
She graduated with distinction in Botanical Art from the Society of Botanical Artists (SBA) Diploma Course in 2024, marking a significant milestone that brought new momentum to her artistic journey. Since then, she has been working professionally as a botanical artist, undertaking commissions and creating original illustrations and prints for galleries and private collectors. Looking ahead, she aspires to expand her practice commercially, building on her experience and dedication to botanical art.
